The mystery of Tithonus and Eos toke place in Greece. The geography of Greece influenced where people settled and what they did. Greece was on a peninsula, as you can see in the two pictures. The borders include the Ionian Sea to the west, the Mediterranan Sea to the south, and the Aegean Sea to the east. The seas were very special and helpful. They would usd the seas for bartering, exporting goods, and importing goods. Greeks also used it for food. They would go fishing. They also had a rocky soil. If you were to look over Greece, you would see a montanious land. The climate in Greece was mild. they would be able to grow wheat, barley, olives, and grapes. Greeks raised sheeps and goats. But the rocky soil prevented some plants from growing. Sometimes they would have cold, damp, winters and hot dry summers. The largest island in Greece, was Crete. the second largest was Cyprus, and the third largest was in the eastern Mediterranean. Greece has over 1,400 islands! Haliacmon was the longest river in Greece. The brders of Greece was: Albania, Bulgaria, Turkey, and Macedonia. Greece is now located in Europe. |
