You may have heard the god of all gods in Greek Mythology. He is the mightiest of all the gods. His name is Zeus. I am sure you will learn more about Zeus after you have read this. I will start off by telling you about his family and more about who he was. Hera was the wife of Zeus. He had a lot of children that included Dionysus, the god of wine, Hephaestus, the god of metalworking and crafts, Apollo, the god of music, Artemis, the goddess of hunting and wild animals, Ares, the god of war, and Athena, the goddess of wisdom were a few of them. Zeus was one of the twelve Olympians. Although, Zeus was not a good husband to Hera. He would go off and flirt with other ladies that were mortals. Hera was not happy about this at all. Hera, Leda, Leto, Maria, Electra, Taygete, Niobe, Io, Danae, Semele, Europa, Themis, Mnemosyne, Demeter, Alcmene, Antiope, Callisto,Daedulas, and Liope were the women he also liked. Zeus' siblings were Hades, Poseidon, Hera, demeter, and Hestia. He is known for the god who throws thunderbolts from the clouds. Zeus grew up safely. Zeus grew up in a cave and was tended by nymphs. He was nursed by a fairy goat by the name of Amaltheia. The horns of the goat flowed ambrosia and nctar, which is the food and drink of the gods. He thanked the nymphs by killing the goat and giving the horns of the goat. He used the hide of the goat as a breastplate, so he would not get hurt. He grew up healthy and distroyed Cronus. Zeus was now the lord of the universe. Zeus grew up as a healthy god and destroyed Cronus. Zeus was now the lord of the universe. He remained as the lord of the universe for an extremely long time.
